SEMARANG – Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Polines) officially accepted 2,800 new students (maba) at the Open Senate Ceremony for New Student Admissions for the 2025/2026 Academic Year held on the green field of the Polines campus, Tembalang, Semarang City, Tuesday (12/8/2025).
Polines Deputy Director of Academic Affairs, Dr. Samuel Beta Kuntarjo, Ing.Tech., MT, in his report reported the number of applicants, accepted students, and the level of rigor in each selection process, both through the National Selection (SNBP and SNBT) and the Independent Selection. According to him, this data reflects the high level of public enthusiasm for Polines and demonstrates the quality of the rigorous selection process.
Polines Director, Dr. Garup Lambang Goro, ST, MT, expressed his gratitude and pride for the joining of new students from various regions in Indonesia.
"We are delighted to have these outstanding students. Polines will continue to develop itself to educate students to become quality graduates ready to compete in the workforce," he said.
The culminating moment of the ceremony was marked by the Director symbolically pinning on the new student representatives their alma mater jackets and placing Polines hats on them. This act officially signified their membership in the Polines family.
The ceremony was held solemnly and concluded with an introduction to the campus environment for new students, which will continue for the next few days.
