43rd Dies Natalis, Polines Strengthens its Commitment to Being a Smart, Green, Collaborative, and Innovative Campus

SEMARANG – Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Polines) held an Open Senate Ceremony to commemorate its 43rd Anniversary on Wednesday (August 6, 2025) at the Polines Campus Multipurpose Room in Tembalang, Semarang. With the theme "Polines Impacts: Creating a Smart, Green, Collaborative, and Innovative Campus that is Sustainable," the celebration served as a symbol of reflection, appreciation, and strategic direction towards a future of vocational education that has real impact.

In his Dies Natalis speech, Polines Director Dr. Garup Lambang Goro, ST, MT, emphasized Polines' commitment to continue moving forward through applied technological innovation, accountable governance, and strong synergy with various stakeholders.

"Today is a special moment that marks Polines' 43-year journey. With a spirit of togetherness, collaboration, and integrity, we continue to build Polines as a leading vocational institution that makes an impact — not only in education, but also on society and the wider environment," he said.

He also emphasized that Polines' status as a Public Service Agency (BLU) will be utilized to expand services and cooperation, both to academics, industrial partners, and the general public.

The series of events was completed with a scientific oration by Dr. Dwiana Hendrawati, ST, MT, entitled "Polines Impact Through Smart Solar Energy Transformation for a Sustainable Future and Innovative Digital Ecosystem." The oration highlighted the importance of utilizing renewable energy and developing a digital ecosystem to encourage sustainability and technological independence in vocational education.

Also present to deliver remarks was Prof. Dr. Ir. Sri Suning Kusumawardani, ST, MT, Director of Human Resources at the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Technology, and Technology, and Chair of the Polines Supervisory Board. She emphasized that vocational education must be at the forefront of innovation and the development of competitive human resources.

The ceremony was attended by the senate, lecturers, educational staff, students, alumni, as well as industry partners and educational institutions. The 43rd anniversary celebration served not only as an opportunity to honor Polines' history but also as a momentum to look toward a greener, more collaborative, and more sustainable future.
