SEMARANG – The 2024 Politeknik Neger Semarang (Polines) Electrical Expo was officially held at the Integrated Lecture Building (GKT) Polines Campus, Tembalang, Semarang City, Tuesday (3/9/24), showcasing various innovations and creations from students from the Electrical Engineering department.
This event was made even more special by the presence of Septo Soepriyatno, ST, MSE as the Director of Trade Business Development of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemendag RI) who was accompanied by Dr. Eni Dwi Wardihani, ST, MT, Director of Polines during a visit to several student stands.
The Director of Trade Business Development of the Indonesian Ministry of Trade appreciated the innovation displayed by Polines students. He said that the works showed the great potential of the young generation in facing industrial challenges.
"The innovations displayed at the Polines Electro Expo really illustrate the ability of our students to compete in the era of advanced technology. We fully support activities like this, which are a place for students to develop their creative ideas," he explained.
During his visit, the Director of Polines also expressed his pride in the achievements of the Electrical Engineering students.
"Elektro Expo is real evidence of how vocational education can produce innovations that are relevant to current industrial needs, we hope this event can spur students to continue to innovate," he said.
The stands visited displayed technological works ranging from robotics, smart system, to IoT-based applications which are expected to provide solutions to various problems in society.
In addition, this event presents a transport robot competition, IoT robot, PLC robot and UI/UX mobile apps design competition participated by students from various universities. This competition is a place to show off students' abilities in designing and operating sophisticated robots.
Elektro Expo Polines 2024 is an event that not only brings together students, academics and industry, but also serves as a forum for students to show their potential and creativity through various technological innovations. (ang/jul)
