The 2023 Independent Student Exchange Program (PMM 3) is a one-semester student mobility program to gain learning experience at universities in Indonesia while strengthening unity in diversity. Student exchange is carried out through inter-island cluster transfers and exchange mechanisms from academic to academic and vocational to vocational universities.
The number of inbound students who entered Polines was 48 students from 16 universities outside Java. The students' home universities include Politeknik Negeri Manufaktur Bangka Belitung, Politeknik Negeri Bali, Politeknik Negeri Medan, Politeknik Negeri Padang, Politeknik Negeri Pontianak, Politeknik Negeri Pontianak, Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya, Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis, Politeknik Negeri Batam, Politeknik Negeri Banjarmasin, Politeknik Negeri Lhokseumawe, Politeknik Negeri Kupang, Politeknik Negeri Lampung, Politeknik Negeri Manado, Politeknik Negeri Sambas and Universitas Negeri Makassar. PMM activities will start according to the Polynesian odd semester academic calendar, namely from September 4 2023 to January 12 2024.
Syahid ST.M.Eng as PMM 3 Polines coordinator said "While participating in this PMM activity, students took part in learning activities at Polines and also took part in the archipelago module activities which contained diversity, inspiration, reflection and social contribution activities."
The activity closed with a closing ceremony which was held on Friday 12 January 2024 at the Polines Integrated Lecture Building. The Closing Ceremony activity was filled with Cultural Performances with the theme Echoing Indonesian Creativity "Cultivating the Spirit of Unity and Harmonizing Differences Through Expressions of Cultural Creativity". The activity was closed by Acting Director of Politeknik Negeri Semarang Dr. Karnowohadi.
