Polines Strengthens Industry Partnerships, Opens Internship Opportunities, Scholarships, and Graduate Recruitment

SEMARANG – Semarang State Polytechnic (Polines) continues to strengthen synergies with the business and industrial world through strategic visits to several national companies in Jakarta on June 8–10, 2026. The visit is part of Polines' efforts to align vocational education with industrial needs while expanding opportunities for students and graduates.

The Polines delegation met with three companies from different sectors: PT Yokogawa Indonesia, PT Talk Cloud Technology Indonesia, and PT Paragon Technology and Innovation (Paragon). Various collaboration opportunities were discussed, including internship programs, competency certification, curriculum development, and recruitment pathways for Polines graduates.

On June 9, 2026, the Polines team visited PT Yokogawa Indonesia, a company specializing in industrial automation, process instrumentation, and digital transformation solutions. During the meeting, the two parties discussed the evolving industry competency needs and the importance of aligning vocational education curricula with the latest technologies in the workplace.

Polines offers curriculum enhancements in industrial automation, instrumentation systems, and data-driven predictive maintenance. In response, Yokogawa expressed its readiness to explore various forms of collaboration, including structured internship programs, guest lectures from industry practitioners, joint development of learning modules, and opportunities for laboratory equipment support for Polines.

On the same day, Polines continued their visit to PT Talk Cloud Technology Indonesia. The company, which specializes in cloud computing and digital transformation, presented various technological solutions that can support the development of the campus digital ecosystem.

The discussion covered the implementation of a cloud platform to support learning processes and academic services, improving cybersecurity, and developing students' digital competencies. Collaboration opportunities discussed included cloud computing certification programs, student internships, joint research in data security, and regular technology workshops and bootcamps.

The highlight of the visit took place on June 10, 2026, when Polines Director, Dr. Garup Lambang Goro, ST, MT, along with the Deputy Director for Cooperation, Public Relations, and Information Systems, Dr. Ir. Kurnianingsih, ST, MT, met with PT Paragon Technology and Innovation Site Director, Sony Hidajat. The meeting discussed strategic partnership opportunities as Paragon builds its new manufacturing facility in Batang Industrial Park, Central Java.

On that occasion, Polines expressed hope that the construction of the new Paragon factory would open up broader job opportunities for graduates from various study programs. Furthermore, Polines proposed the development of a Teaching Factory based on Paragon's production process and the opening of a Paragon product store on campus as a learning and industry collaboration platform.

Paragon welcomed the various proposals and expressed its commitment to strengthening cooperation with Polines through internship programs, merit scholarships integrated with recruitment opportunities, joint applied research, and the involvement of industry practitioners as guest lecturers.

The Director of Polines emphasized that strengthening collaboration with industry is a strategic step to ensure that Polines graduates have relevant competencies and are ready to compete in the world of work.
