SEMARANG – In an effort to broaden students' horizons regarding vocational higher education, SMK Negeri 1 Sragi Pekalongan conducted an educational visit to Semarang State Polytechnic (Polines). This activity provided an opportunity for teachers and students to gain a closer understanding of the campus environment, study programs, and the various educational opportunities offered.
The group was received directly by the Director of Polines Dr. Garup Lambang Goro, ST, MT, accompanied by the Deputy Director for Cooperation, Public Relations, and Information Systems Dr. Ir. Kurnianingsih, ST, MT.
In his remarks, Dr. Garup Lambang Goro, ST, MT expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the visit. He emphasized that Semarang State Polytechnic (Polines)
very open to visits from schools as a means of introducing vocational education directly to students.
“"Thank you for the visit from the teachers and students of SMK Negeri 1 Sragi Pekalongan. Polines is very open to activities like this so students can gain a real-world understanding of the learning process, facilities, and opportunities available in vocational education," he said.
Next, Polines Public Relations Juli Wiyanto SAP, provided an explanation regarding New Student Admissions (PMB), including selection paths, study program choices, campus facilities, scholarships, and career prospects for graduates.

Following the presentation, the group of teachers and students took a campus tour of the Mechanical Engineering Department at Semarang State Polytechnic. During the tour, participants were given a firsthand look at the laboratories, practical workshops, and various learning resources used by students. This visit provided students with real-world experience, enabling them to better understand the learning process and competencies developed in mechanical engineering.
Through this visit, it is hoped that students of SMK Negeri 1 Sragi Pekalongan will be more motivated to continue their education at vocational colleges and prepare themselves to face the challenges of the industrial world and the world of work.
