Polines Inaugurates New Parking Building for 1,600 Motorcycles

SEMARANG – Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Polines) officially opened its Motorcycle Parking Building on the Polines Campus in Tembalang, Semarang City, on Friday (November 21, 2025). The inauguration took place in the newly completed parking building and was attended by Polines' leadership and academics.

In his remarks, the Director of Polines, Dr. Garup Lambang Goro, ST, MT, said that the presence of this parking building is expected to be a solution to various motorbike parking problems on campus.

"With this parking building, we hope to resolve the motorcycle parking problem. We will soon address some of the deficiencies, such as boundaries and markings," he said. He also emphasized the importance of ongoing building maintenance, both in terms of cleanliness and facility utilization.

Previously, the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) for Poliines, Setyo Yuwono, SST, MM, reported that construction of the parking building began on August 8, 2025, and was completed on November 11, 2025, with a total implementation time of 95 calendar days. The building has a large capacity, capable of accommodating 1,600 motorcycles. He also expressed his appreciation for the support of all parties, ensuring the smooth and timely construction.

The inauguration of the parking building was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Director of Polines, witnessed by the entire Polines academic community and student representatives. This moment symbolized the start of the new parking building's use as a primary support facility on campus.

With the inauguration of this parking building, Polines hopes to provide greater comfort for all its users and create a campus environment that is organized, safe, and supportive of academic activities.
