Polines Director Officially Releases Electric Go-Karts and Micro Rally EVs for the 2025 PLN ICE Competition

SEMARANG – Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Polines) officially released Electric Gokart and Micro Rally EV to take part in the PLN ICE Competition (Innovation and Competition in Electricity) In 2025, an event was held in the courtyard of the Polines Campus Directorate, Tembalang, Semarang City, Monday (11/17/2025). The farewell ceremony was led directly by the Director of Polines, Dr. Garup Lambang Goro, ST, MT.

In his remarks, the Director of Polines expressed his appreciation and full support for the students and their supervisors who had prepared the two electric vehicles. He hoped the Polines team would deliver their best performance and demonstrate their ability to compete at the national level.

"I fully support and hope the Polines team can achieve the best possible results in this competition. Let this experience be a challenge and motivation to continue innovating," he said.

A similar hope was expressed by the Greenpeanut EV Team representative, Fathurozi, who is targeting the Hyperblast V2 Gokart and Micro Rally EV to perform optimally and win all the categories they are participating in.

"We ask for support from the entire Polines academic community. We hope the Hyperblast V2 and Micro Rally EV can deliver their best performance and achieve maximum results," he said.

On that occasion, accompanying lecturer Ahmad Hamim Su'udy, S.Pd., MT, explained that Polines successfully qualified as a finalist in two categories, namely Micro EV and Electric Gokart, at the PLN ICE 2025 event. The two teams will compete in Surabaya on November 21–23, 2025.

"In the go-kart category, Polines is the only polytechnic in Indonesia to qualify as a finalist. This is both a challenge and an encouragement for the team to give their best," he explained. He added that the team's goal is to finish in the top three nationally.

Moreover, he hopes that the development of electric vehicles at Polines will not stop at mere competition, but can develop into broader collaboration, potentially even giving birth to EV maintenance startups in Central Java.

The Hyperblast V2 Go-Kart and Micro Rally EV are the result of student research that has undergone various stages of performance and efficiency testing. With the full support of the leadership and academic community, the Polines team is optimistic about delivering the best results at PLN ICE 2025.
