SURABAYA – Semarang State Polytechnic (Polines) has once again achieved impressive national success. In the 2026 National Welding Competition (NWC), held at the Surabaya State Polytechnic of Shipbuilding (PPNS) from July 13–17, 2026, the Polines team won 4th place.
This achievement was even more impressive because all of the Polines students won championships in their respective categories and levels. Of the eight students sent, 100 percent took home awards in the national welding competition.
This success demonstrates the quality and competence of Polines students in mastering advanced welding skills. Furthermore, this achievement demonstrates the vocational students' readiness to compete and demonstrate their best abilities at the national level.
The achievements of Polines students in the 2026 National Welding Competition include:
- Syaldila Virginia Cahya Kurnia – 1st Place Master (SMAW Plate 3G Female Student);
- Shotta Mahendra Dewanto Putra – 3rd place in Masters (SMAW Plate 3G);
- Bagas Hari Mukti – 3rd Place Master (GMAW Pipe 2G);
- Muhammad Algani Razak – 3rd Place (Expert, SMAW Pipe 2G);
- Indiar Romansyah – 1st Place Advance (SMAW Plate 2G);
- Putra Amanat Tulloh – 2nd Place Advance (SMAW Plate 3G.
- Rendi Dimas Indrasa – 2nd Place Competency, SMAW Plate 3G.
- Nicolas Mauretio Mahaputera Gaspar – 1st Place Novice, SMAW Plate 3G.
This achievement is the result of the students' hard work, discipline, and intensive preparation prior to the competition. Support and mentoring from the team of supervising lecturers were also crucial in developing their strategies and technical skills.
For this achievement, appreciation was given to all students and the team of supervising lecturers who have contributed to making Polines proud at the 2026 National Welding Competition.
This achievement also reinforces Polines' commitment to producing competent, skilled, innovative vocational graduates who are able to compete nationally.
