SEMARANG – Semarang State Polytechnic (Polines) has further strengthened its international network by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Beihai Vocational College, China. The signing took place online at the Polines Campus Directorate Building in Tembalang, Semarang City, on Monday (June 22, 2026).
The MoU signing was carried out by Polines Director Dr. Garup Lambang Goro, ST, MT and the leadership of Beihai Vocational College. During the event, the Polines Director was accompanied by Dr. Ir. Kurnianingsih, ST, MT, Deputy Director for Cooperation, Public Relations, and Information Systems, and Yusnan Badruzzaman, ST, M.Eng., Head of the Electrical Engineering Department.
The event began with an online seminar on international cooperation attended by representatives from both institutions. The forum served as a forum for discussions on collaboration opportunities in vocational education, applied research, human resource development, and international programs that could benefit the academic communities of both universities.
Polines Director, Dr. Garup Lambang Goro, stated that this collaboration is a strategic step to improve the quality of vocational education through global partnerships. He believes that collaboration with foreign educational institutions will open up broader opportunities for students and lecturers to develop their competencies and broaden their international horizons.

Meanwhile, representatives from Beihai Vocational College expressed their appreciation for the collaboration with Polines. They hope this partnership will strengthen academic ties between Indonesia and China and produce programs that will positively impact the development of vocational education in both countries.
The collaboration with Beihai Vocational College is part of Polines' commitment to expanding its international partnership network and supporting the campus' internationalization program.
