Polines Receives Visit from BSSN to Discuss Establishment of Cyber Incident Response Team (TTIS/CSIRT)

SEMARANG — Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Polines) welcomed a visit from the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) to discuss and assist in the formation of a Cyber Incident Response Team (TTIS) / Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) within Polines. The event was held at the Polines Campus Directorate Building in Tembalang, Semarang City, on Wednesday (February 4, 2026).

The BSSN delegation was led by Adi Himawan, S.Sos., MM, as the Manggala Informatika Ahli Madya BSSN. The visit was received directly by the Director of Polines Dr. Garup Lambang Goro, ST, MT, accompanied by the Deputy Director for Planning, Finance, and General Affairs Dr. Karnowahadi, SE, MM, the Deputy Director for Cooperation, Public Relations, and Information Systems Dianita Ratna K., ST, MT, and the Head of the UPA Information and Communication Technology (UPA TIK) Polines Helmy, ST, M.Eng.

In his remarks, the Director of Polines expressed his appreciation and gratitude to BSSN for the visit and assistance provided, especially to UPA ICT Polines in strengthening the cybersecurity sector.

"We express our gratitude for the BSSN's presence at Polines. This assistance is a strategic step for us in building a structured and reliable cybersecurity system, particularly through the establishment of a Cyber Incident Response Team," he said.

Meanwhile, Adi Himawan, S.Sos., MM, explained that the formation of the TTIS/CSIRT was a follow-up to the President's directive through the Head of the National Cyber and Cyber Security Agency (BSSN). He stated that all agencies under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Diktisaintek) need assistance in establishing cyber incident response teams.

"The formation of this Cyber Incident Response Team is important so that if a cyber incident occurs, direct, rapid, and integrated communication and coordination can be carried out between agencies and the BSSN," he explained.

The activity continued with a fairly intense discussion between the BSSN team and the Polines ICT UPA, discussing institutional readiness, the flow of handling cyber incidents, and strategic steps in the formation and operation of TTIS/CSIRT at Polines.

The visit concluded with a group photo session and the presentation of souvenirs as a symbol of the synergy and collaboration between BSSN and Polines in strengthening cyber resilience in the vocational higher education environment.
