SEMARANG – Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Polines) Tax Center once again played an active role in improving tax literacy among the younger generation through the implementation of the 6th National Tax Festival in 2025, held at the Integrated Lecture Building (GKT) on the 2nd floor of the Polines Campus, Tembalang, Semarang City, on Thursday (11/13/2025). This activity is part of an ongoing program to introduce the importance of taxes to high school (SMA/MA) and vocational high school (SMK) students throughout Indonesia.
This event was attended by representatives of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes (Kanwil DJP) Central Java I, namely the Head of the Extension, Services and Public Relations Division, Hutomo Budi, together with the Deputy Director IV for Cooperation, Public Relations and Information Systems of Polines, Dianita Ratna Kusumastuti, ST, MT
The collaboration between the Central Java I Regional Tax Office and Polines, which has existed since 2010, continues to demonstrate its consistent support for tax education. This year's festival featured competent external judges Dwi Langgeng Santosa, SE, MA, and Wahyono.
The 2025 National Tax Festival attracted 69 teams from 11 provinces, totaling 207 participants. The competition, organized as a Tax Quiz Competition, served as a fun and competitive way to test and hone participants' tax knowledge.
Deputy Director IV of Polines, Dianita Ratna Kusumastuti, emphasized her institution's commitment to supporting educational activities in the field of taxation.
"Through the National Tax Festival, we hope participants will gain a deeper understanding of the importance of taxes for the nation's progress. This event is not only a competition, but also a means of developing character and tax literacy in the younger generation," he said during the event.
After a rigorous preliminary round, the top six teams were selected to advance to the final round. The finalists demonstrated strong competence and understanding of various aspects of taxation relevant to both the academic world and everyday life.
The final results of the competition declared SMKN 1 Sragi as the first place winner, SMKN 1 Tempel as the second place winner, and SMKN 1 Boyolali as the third place winner. The committee expressed its appreciation to all participants for their enthusiasm and high competitive spirit, while also emphasizing the importance of raising awareness among the younger generation about the importance of taxes in Indonesia.
Through this activity, Polines hopes the National Tax Festival can continue to be a platform for developing tax knowledge and inspiring the younger generation to play an active role in national economic development through tax compliance.
