SEMARANG — The Central Java Vocational College (PTV) Consortium Team conducted a visit and audience with the Central Java Provincial Department of Industry and Trade on Wednesday (2/10/2025). The group was led by Dr. Ir. Kurnianingsih, MT as Chair of the Central Java PTV Consortium, accompanied by Dr. Amin Suharjono, MT and Rahindra Bayu Kumara, M.Mar., M.Si. as members of the working team.
The presence of the consortium team was welcomed directly by the Head of the Central Java Provincial Industry Office, July Emmylia, SE, MM, along with structural officials, namely the Head of Standardization and Consumer Protection Devita Ayu M., SE, M.Si., Head of Domestic Trade Sucahyo, SH, MM., and the Head of the Metal and Wood Industry Center Husni, SE, M.PI.
During the audience, Dr. Kurnianingsih extended an invitation and requested support from the Department of Industry for the preparation of the Independent Harvest Festival. This event is designed to showcase the results of applied research conducted by vocational colleges in collaboration with industry, vocational high schools (SMK), and other stakeholders.
"This festival is expected to strengthen a robust and sustainable innovation ecosystem, while also bridging the downstream flow of research to provide tangible benefits to the people and economy of Central Java," he explained.
In response, the Head of the Central Java Provincial Industry Office expressed his appreciation and support for the PTV Jateng Consortium initiative. He emphasized that the provincial government is currently promoting the Green Industry program, which requires the active involvement of academics and vocational colleges in developing environmentally friendly technologies to support industrial needs.
"We are ready to bridge and invite industries in Central Java under the auspices of the Department of Industry to collaborate with vocational colleges," he said.
This audience is a strategic first step in building closer collaboration between vocational education and industry. This synergy is expected to foster sustainable innovation that will not only increase regional competitiveness but also support the transition to green industrial development in Central Java.
