SEMARANG – The Central Java Vocational Higher Education Consortium (PTV) held an audience with the Governor of Central Java, Commissioner General of Police (Ret.) Drs. Ahmad Luthfi, SH, S.St.MK, at the Berlian Building, Semarang City, Monday (September 29, 2025). The meeting discussed preparations for the 2025 Central Java Independent Harvest Festival, which will be held in November 2025 in Semarang City.
The Central Java PTV Consortium consists of six vocational colleges, namely Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Polines), Politeknik Negeri Cilacap (PNC), Politeknik Maritim Negeri Indonesia (Polimarin), Politeknik ATMI Surakarta, Diponegoro University Vocational School (UNDIP), and Sebelas Maret University Vocational School (UNS) Surakarta.
The Harvest Festival is part of the Berdikari Program, an applied research funding scheme managed by the Directorate of Dissemination and Utilization of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education and Technology, in collaboration with the Education Fund Management Institute (LPDP). This program emphasizes downstreaming research based on regional potential to develop appropriate technologies that benefit communities and stimulate regional economic growth.
The audience was attended by the Director of Polines Dr. Garup Lambang Goro, ST, MT, Acting Director of Polimarin Prof. Dr. Sri Tutie Rahayu, M.Si., Dean of the UNS Vocational School Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Herman Saputro, M.Pd., MT, Chairman of the Central Java PTV Consortium Dr. Kurnianingsih, MT, Dr. Amin Suharjono, MT, and Rahindra Bayu Kumara, M.Mar., M.Si. as a member of the consortium working team.
In his presentation, Dr. Garup Lambang Goro, ST, MT emphasized that this festival will showcase various applied research results from PTV Central Java involving industry, Vocational High Schools (SMK), and other stakeholders.
"The presence of various parties is expected to create a robust and sustainable innovation ecosystem, so that research results don't just stop in the laboratory but can be directly utilized by the community," he said.
Meanwhile, Dr. Kurnianingsih MT said that the Berdikari Program is not only oriented towards downstreaming research, but also fostering collaboration between the government, industry, and vocational universities.
"This synergy is expected to maximize regional potential to improve community welfare while strengthening Central Java's competitiveness," he said.
Central Java Governor Ahmad Luthfi received the consortium group accompanied by the Head of the Central Java Bappeda Harso Susilo, ST, MM, the Head of the Central Java Education and Culture Office Dr. Sadimin, S.Pd., M.Eng., and the Head of Cultural Development Eris Yunianto, S.Pd., M.Pd.
In his remarks, the Governor expressed his appreciation and full support for this initiative. "This program aligns with Central Java's development direction, which prioritizes utilizing local potential as a driving force for the regional economy. Through the 2025 Berdikari Harvest Festival, we hope to produce superior, applicable research products capable of providing real solutions to the needs of the community and the business world," he said.
Furthermore, he encouraged the expansion of involvement of vocational schools, vocational colleges, and industry so that the resulting innovations could provide broader benefits to society.
The 2025 Central Java Independent Harvest Festival is expected to be a crucial opportunity to strengthen multi-stakeholder networks to realize sustainable development based on innovation and appropriate technology, while also supporting inclusive economic growth in Central Java.
