SEMARANG – The Academic Support Unit (UPA) of the Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Polines) Library underwent an accreditation visit from the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia (Perpusnas RI) at the Polines Campus Directorate Building in Tembalang, Semarang City, on Wednesday (July 30, 2025). This activity was part of an evaluation of the quality of information services and library management at the university based on national standards.
The assessor team present at the event consisted of Drs. Muhammad Syarif Bando, MM, and Drs. Yoyo Yahyono, S.IP., M.Si. Their arrival was officially welcomed by Polines Director Dr. Garup Lambang Goro, ST, MT, along with the management and library team.
In his remarks, the Director of Polines expressed his pride and appreciation for the dedication of the library team who continue to demonstrate consistent performance.
"The library team has proven itself to be a very solid part of supporting the academic process on this campus. Not only during accreditation, but also in the quiet but impactful daily work," he said.
The accreditation process included a library profile presentation, a question-and-answer session, a site visit, and verification of documents and physical evidence. The visitation lasted from morning to afternoon and concluded with the signing of a minutes of the meeting.
Library accreditation encompasses six main assessment aspects: collections, facilities and infrastructure, services, library staff, management, and institutional innovation. The results of these assessments will determine the national accreditation rating, which reflects the quality of library services.
With this visitation, Polines affirms its commitment to providing modern, inclusive, and nationally standardized library services to support the academic and professional achievements of the entire campus community.
