SEMARANG – Lecturers at Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Polines) conducted a Creative Innovation Program for Vocational Partners (INOVOKASI) activity under the Appropriate Technology Application Program (PPTTG) scheme in the form of implementing a vacuum press machine innovation with an electro-pneumatic system and integrated marketing communication at the Velove Pillow Micro Business in Ngepungrojo Village, Pati Regency.
This activity was chaired by Ragil Tri Indrawati ST MT with 4 lecturers as members and assisted by 6 students as a form of implementing Independent Learning Independent Campus (MBKM).
Ragil Tri Indrawati explained that the purpose and focus of the Inovokasi activity is to help solve partner problems in the field of production and marketing management through the application of vacuum press machine innovation with an electro-pneumatic system as an effort to increase productivity, production capacity and product quality. As well as improving marketing management through the application of integrated marketing communication (IMC) to expand the product marketing network.
This activity is a form of downstreaming research results which are the result of collaborative work between lecturers and students. The entire series of activities will be carried out from August 2024 to November 2024.
This series of activities includes the application of TTG (Appropriate Technology) in the form of a vacuum press machine, the application of IMC, training and assistance in the use of TTG and IMC as well as training in submitting TKDN IK (Domestic Component Level for Small Industries) certification with speakers from the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin). This activity was carried out with the aim of assisting the certification process in order to open up greater opportunities for Velove Pillow Micro Business to be able to participate in government procurement through the electronic catalog system (e-catalog).
The developed machine provides several advantages including faster processes and producing products with uniform sizes. The results of the Inovokasi activity have a positive impact on increasing production and product capacity and expanding marketing reach through the use of e-commerce, websites and social media.
Partners hope that Innovation activities by implementing appropriate technology will be further enhanced in helping wider MSMEs.
The handover of the machine and website as a result of the Inovokasi activity was carried out at the partner location of Ngepungrojo Village, Pati Regency, which was handed over directly by Ragil Tri Indrawati as the head of the Polines Inovokasi team and Suweni as the partner of the Velove Bantal Micro Business.
He thanked the Directorate of Academic Higher Vocational Education, Directorate General of Vocational Education, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology for the financial support of the activity. (Sgi)
