PLN Teaches Goes to Polines: Collaboration to Share Knowledge, Smarten the Young Generation

PLN Central Java and DI Yogyakarta Load Control Implementation Unit (UP2B Jateng & DI Yogyakarta) shared knowledge about Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) in Electric Power Systems at the Semarang State Polytechnic (Polines). Apart from sharing knowledge, this activity is an opportunity to introduce PLN, especially regarding the electricity system in the Central Java and DI Yogyakarta regions.

Students welcomed it enthusiastically and actively discussed with resource persons to enrich their insight into the substation automation system. Through this activity, it is hoped that students will be able to know more about PLN, especially regarding the electricity system in Central Java & DI Yogyakarta.

On this occasion, PLN expressed its support for the energy transition in Indonesia, including the development of the Electric Vehicle (EV) ecosystem. PLN hopes that Polines can become one of the academic communities that can become a reference regarding the development of this technology.

Yusnan Badruzzaman, ST, M.Eng., lecturer in Electrical Engineering at Polines appreciated the existence of the PLN Mengajar program and expressed his gratitude for the existence of the PLN Mengajar program at Polines which can provide students' views and insights into the electricity system patterns managed by PLN.

"Thank you PLN, with the PLN Mengajar di Polines program providing our students with views and insight into the electricity system patterns managed by PLN." said Yusnan, Thursday (13/6/2024).

Muhammad Husni Mubarak as Assistant Manager of UP2B Central Java & DI Yogyakarta Operations Facilities and resource person invited the younger generation of students to broaden their horizons so they can face future challenges.

"As the younger generation, let's strengthen global insight together, continue to develop competencies and capabilities, and increase networking with various groups." said Husni.

In a different place, Munawwar Furqan as General Manager of the PLN Main Unit for the Java, Madura and Bali Load Management Center (PLN UIP2B JAMALI) said that through PLN Mengajar it is hoped that both parties, both students and resource persons, can learn together to gain new insights so that can be developed to create new, more useful things.

"Knowledge will continue to develop, it is hoped that through the PLN Mengajar program both parties will gain new knowledge and insights and can create useful ideas and innovative works," concluded Munawwar. (mad)
