Registration for SNMPN 2020 which was originally scheduled for January 6 to March 6 2020, has been extended to March 13, 2020. This decision was conveyed by Dr. Zainal Arief, ST, MT, Chair of SNMPN 2020 today at the PENS Campus after receiving information on synchronizing the KIP Lecture with SNMPN.
For prospective participants/school students who will continue their education at vocational universities or State Polytechnics and Politanies throughout Indonesia from underprivileged families and need KIP Lecture financing, they will be given an extension of time for registration. "This KIP Lecture information is something that many prospective participants have been waiting for, considering the very tight registration deadline with the new KIP Lecture access schedule released in early March," he added.
For prospective participants/students who have previously registered for SNMPN but have not finalized, can take advantage of this KIP Lecture. "If there are participants who have not registered or may even have registered for SNMPN and have not been finalized, then they can register for the KIP Lecture and continue to the finalization process," explained Dr. Zainal. Not only that, according to him, KIP Lectures can also be used for the 2020 State Polytechnic Entrance Joint Selection (SBMPN) pathway which will be opened after the SNMPN pathway.
If you are still having trouble registering KIP-Kuliah, prospective participants/school students can directly access the page https://kip-kuliah.kemdikbud.go.id/ Registration can be done independently by following the flow. After entering the page, the system will validate the Population Identification Number (NIK), National Student Identification Number (NISN), National School Registration Number (NPSN), and eligibility to obtain a College KIP. If declared successful, the prospective participant/school student will receive a Registration Number and Access Code to the registered electronic mail (e-mail). After that, the KIP Lecture registration process was completed.
The next step, prospective participants / students can access the page https://snmpn.politeknik.or.id and register for SNMPN or if you have previously registered to carry out the process of validating the KIP Lecture registrants and finalizing. After that, prospective participants/school students can send files to the first choice at the intended Polytechnic if asked to send files. And, this process is declared complete if you have uploaded proof of sending the file on the page.
Dr. Zainal explained that prospective participants/school students who do not have a KIP Lecture can take advantage of this time extension to register immediately. "From year to year, interest in Polytechnic or vocational education in Indonesia has increased. We open the widest possible access so that prospective participants/school students can continue their higher education, one of which is through KIP Lectures. This is a form of government support for expanding access to education, especially for prospective new students on campus,” he added.
Dr. Zainal hopes that prospective students who have not been screened through the SNMPN route will not be discouraged. Prospective students must remain positive and enthusiastic because there are still other polytechnic student admission routes, namely the SBMPN route which will be released in the near future, and the Mandiri route which will be opened around June.
