This company trains polytechnics throughout Indonesia how to take care of industrial machines

PT Teknoenergi Optima Indonesia held an industrial machine maintenance workshop at Hotel Dafam Jl Imam Bonjol Semarang city.

The workshop was themed 'Maintenance of Industrial Machinery: Electric, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Machinery' and was attended by about 20 state polytechnics in Indonesia, two of which were Madura State Polytechnic and Bandung State Polytechnic.

The PT is under the auspices of the Center for Energy Education, Research, Development and Audit (Pusdiklitbangdit Energi) belonging to the Semarang State Polytechnic (Polines).

The participants were given an understanding of how to repair types of electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic machines.

Director of Operations of PT Teknoenergi Optima Indonesia, Bernadus Ferry said the workshop was a bridge between industry and education at polytechnics.

"We want industry needs to be met and students are able to fill the needs in machine maintenance," said Ferry, Monday (9/10/2017)

The workshop explores more deeply about industrial maintenance.

“We design this workshop for 30 percent of theory and the rest is practice of improvement. So the participants can use the tools and make periodic repairs. Because it is undeniable that polytechnic graduates must master industrial tools," he said.

The workshop was filled with three speakers namely Joko Tri Wardoyo with hydraulic engine maintenance materials, Bono discussing Pneumatic engine maintenance and Hendrig Setiawan practicing pneumatic engine repair.

The speaker from Polines, Joko Tri Wardoyo, emphasized that industrial machine maintenance has regular cycles.

“The maintenance period for industrial machines has a cycle of a week, a month and six months. Maintenance must always be done so that when doing the work the tool does not experience problems. Minimum maintenance on hydraulic engine oil must be checked," said Joko.

Another speaker, Hendrig Setiawan said that industrial machines are easy to understand but are often neglected in the repair and maintenance process.

“The machine requires maintenance, sometimes the industry just wears it and regular repairs are often neglected. But that's the most important thing. We want the participants to be able to understand the correct repair and maintenance processes,” he concluded. (*)
