Polines Officially Has a Masters Program in Applied Telecommunication Engineering

The Semarang State Polytechnic (Polines) officially has a new study program, namely the Telecommunication Engineering Study Program (Prodi) of the Applied Masters Program.

This was marked by the issuance of the Decree (SK) Menristekdikti no. 345/KPT/I/2016 dated September 13, 2016 regarding the Opening of the Polynes Applied Telecommunication Engineering Study Program.

The decree for the opening of this new study program was submitted directly by the Director of Higher Education Institutional Development of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Dr. Totok Prasetyo, B.Eng, MT and received by the Director of Polines, Ir. Supriyadi, MT, in an official event at the Director's Meeting Room, Polines campus, Tembalang, Friday (7/10).

In his remarks the Director of Higher Education Institutional Development of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Dr. Totok Prasetyo, B.Eng, MT congratulated on the opening of this new study program. He hopes that the Applied Master program will further increase the quality of vocational education at Polines. “So that the current Polines refocusing advantage," he said. Next year, there are 10 polytechnics that will be revitalized to support the Nawacita program launched by President Jokowi, one of which is to strengthen vocational education. "To increase the competitiveness of the nation," he said. Concern Kemenristekdikti currently, he continued, the first priority for higher education development is quality, second is relevance and third is access.

Director of Polines, Ir. Supriyadi, MT, said he was grateful for the approval of the opening of a new study program, especially this applied master's program. "This applied master's level study program is the first owned by Polines," he said. So that currently Polines has 23 study programs, namely 1 applied master study program, 10 applied undergraduate study program and 12 three diploma study programs. Meanwhile, the acceptance of applied master's program students will be opened next year.
