SEMARANG – Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Polines) received a visit from SMKN 1 Sindang Indramayu on Wednesday (11/12/2024). The group consisting of students and accompanying teachers was warmly welcomed by the Deputy Director for Academic and Alumni Affairs Aris Sunindyo, SE, MM, at the Integrated Lecture Building of the Polines Campus, Tembalang, Semarang City.
In his remarks, the Deputy Director for Academic and Alumni Affairs expressed his appreciation for this visit as a strategic step in introducing Polines to vocational high school students who are interested in continuing their education at the vocational level.
"Polines is always committed to producing superior graduates who are ready to compete in the industrial world," he said.
After the speech, the event continued with a presentation by the Head of the D-III Informatics Engineering Study Program Idhawati Hestiningsih, S.Kom., M. Kom. who explained the profile of the study program, curriculum, and various student achievements. This session was designed to provide a clear picture to visiting participants about career opportunities in the field of information technology.
The visit ended with an interactive Q&A session, where students of SMKN 1 Sindang Indramayu showed high enthusiasm in exploring deeper information about Polines. The accompanying teacher also expressed appreciation for the welcome and information provided, which was considered very useful for the students.
This activity is a form of synergy between Polines and vocational secondary education institutions in strengthening relationships and broadening the insights of the younger generation about the importance of vocational education to support the development of quality human resources. (ang/jul)
