SEMARANG – In order to commemorate the 79th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Polines) held a flag ceremony which took place at the Polines Campus Directorate, Tembalang, Semarang, Saturday (17/8/2024). This ceremony was led directly by Dr. Eni Dwi Wardihani, ST, MT Director of Polines and attended by the entire academic community, from lecturers, education staff to students.
In his speech, the Director of Polines conveyed the importance of maintaining the spirit of independence through improving the quality of education and dedication in developing human resources. He also emphasized that the younger generation must continue to innovate and contribute to building the nation.
"The spirit of independence must be reflected in every step we take, both as educators, students, and members of society who have a responsibility towards the progress of the nation," said the Director of Polines in his speech.
At this meaningful moment, Polines also gave appreciation to outstanding students, supervisors of outstanding students, and athletes who succeeded in winning the 2024 Sports and Arts Week (Porseni). The awards were presented directly by the Director of Polines as a form of appreciation for the dedication and achievements that have been achieved.
In addition, this ceremony also held a trophy presentation for the winners of the competition and friendly matches between the Technical Implementation Units (UPT) of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Central Java, which were held as part of a series of Independence Day commemorations.
No less important, on this occasion, the Decree (SK) for Civil Servant Candidates (CPNS) for 2023 was also handed over, marking the start of a new chapter in their careers as civil servants.
The ceremony to commemorate Indonesian Independence Day at Polines was closed with a joint prayer to pray for the heroes who died for Indonesia's independence, as well as for the continuity and progress of the nation and state in the future.
By holding this ceremony, it is hoped that the spirit of independence will continue to live in every individual at Polines, making this moment a trigger to contribute more to the progress of the nation. (ang/jul)
