Ecohat Creative: Multifunctional Hats, Utilizing Waste Jeans, Cement Bags, and Jola Joli as Solutions to Economic and Environmental Problems

The economic potential in Indonesia is very large both in terms of natural resources and human resources. In order to optimize this potential, various obstacles need to be reviewed, especially in the utilization of existing waste around the Semarang city community, especially in the Tembalang sub-district. "Ecohat Creative: A multi-functional hat combined from jeans waste, sack cement waste, and jola-joli" is one of the solutions to reactivate the potential of young people who are always innovating in today's digital era in terms of marketing. Ecohat creative is a multifunctional hat that can also be used as a contemporary bag. This can improve the community's economy through the utilization of unused and wasted waste.

"It started with seeing cultural activities held by students at my previous high school, in the form of an exhibition of ecoprint motifs. We tried to apply this to the multifunctional hat by combining pigmented plants with fabric sheets. So it can increase the selling value of the hat. "The ecoprint technique also has high artistic value because in the process the motifs are produced by various plants," said Hafidah.

In addition, the application of the ecoprint method in making multifunctional hats has a superior product which lies in the motive so that competition can be avoided and can improve the people's economy, especially in the city of Semarang. Marketing using content marketing in the form of a website with social media will make the buying and selling transaction process easier. On the other hand, the implementation of content marketing is useful in providing information about creative ecohat products as well as creating promotions that support the sustainability of this multifunctional hat.

Based on this explanation, the existence of this creative ecohat can become a pioneer in supporting the wheels of the economy in Tembalang District, Semarang City as well as answering the challenges of future fashion needs by relying on unused raw materials. The hope is that ecohat creative can improve the welfare of tailors. Our goal is that ecohat creative products can be used for all elementary, junior high, high school children and even college students, as well as all groups. This was expressed by a buyer of ecohat creative products, namely a student at Polines, "The hat is very good and the kyutie is used for the KKL (Field Work Class) agenda, the weather is hot here and sometimes it suddenly rains so it is suitable for use. Apart from being comfortable when worn, it is also waterproof when worn during the rainy season."

Jola Joli Corn, which can be found in Boyolali Regency, Central Java, is clear evidence of how art can be a bridge between nature and human imagination in applying it to products such as fashion. Not just a decoration, Jola Joli Jagung is clear evidence that art can be a unifying force, cultural encouragement, and a reminder of the importance of nature. Through each work produced, Boyolali is not only a place for Jola Joli Jagung's discoveries, but also a place to foster deep creativity and revive invaluable values from the past. This was revealed by a student at Polines who came from Boyolali, Ardiah was able to apply the corn jola-joli to be brought into the art world as a decoration for a multifunctional creative ecohat hat.
