In order to develop smart aquaculture innovation products in order to face the industrial era 4.0, the Semarang State Polytechnic (Polines) and the Research Center for Ornamental Fish Cultivation of the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries agreed to cooperate. This was marked by the signing of the inter-institutional cooperation document by Ir. Supriyadi, MT (Director of Polines) and Dr. Idil Ardi, MSi (Head of Research Center for Ornamental Fish Cultivation) which took place at the Office of Research Center for Ornamental Fish Cultivation, Depok, West Java, (8/3).
Also present to witness this event were the leaders of the two institutions as well as related invitees.
In his speech Ir. Supriyadi, MT (Director of Polines) said that this collaboration is the beginning of the synergy between the two institutions in developing smart aquaculture in Indonesia. "Collaborating with each other in prototype development and research," he said.
Meanwhile, Dr. Idil Ardi, MSi (Head of Research Center for Ornamental Fish Cultivation) hopes that this collaboration can get competent human resources in their field. "Also establish a research team that will carry out joint research activities," he explained.
The Ornamental Fish Cultivation Research Center is part of the Fisheries Research Center at the Marine and Fisheries Research and Human Resources agency, Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries. This center is tasked with carrying out research on the cultivation of freshwater ornamental fish, brackish water ornamental fish and marine ornamental fish based on the physical environment.
The scope of this collaboration is joint research and development of research results smart aquaculture. In addition, the downstream product of research results to industry and society. Also dissemination/publication of joint research results through seminars, proceedings and journals. As well as the utilization of laboratory facilities and infrastructure and the resources of the two research-related institutions.
