Nurul Devi Ariyani, Polines Student Advances to Finalist for Mawapres 2018

Nurul Devi Ariyani, a Semarang State Polytechnic (Polines) student was successfully selected to enter the final round of the 2018 National High Achievement Student Selection (Mawapres) for the diploma program. She managed to eliminate 110 Mawapres in the Diploma category from various PTN/PTS from all over Indonesia and passed the selection the initial stage (desk evaluation) carried out by the Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education.

So that they were selected as the top 9 finalists in the 2018 national level Mawapres diploma program.

This Bidikmisi student from Demak is registered as a D3 Accounting Polynes student. "I am grateful to be able to advance to the finals," he said. He did not expect to qualify to be a finalist. Because the preparation time to participate in this activity is very limited, only 2 weeks. However, with the encouragement from his parents who work as fishermen, he is motivated to continue to achieve achievements. "Each stage of the selection, I always ask for the blessing of my parents so that it is easy and smooth," said the idol of the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani. Even with a short preparation, he hopes, in the next selection, he can provide optimal performance for his alma mater.

The Deputy Director for Student Affairs at Polines, Adhy Purnomo, ST, MT, said he was proud that the Mawapres Polines was able to advance as a finalist for the National Mawapres. "Hopefully this can motivate other Polines students to be able to excel in other fields," he said proudly.

Nurul Devi Ariyani has achieved many nicks. Among others, 1st place in the National Speech Contest, 1st place in the Al-Bahrain Islamic Fair – National Speech Contest, Finalists of the National Poetry Reading Competition, Recipient of the Entrepreneurship Student Creativity Program (PKM-K) grant, 2nd place in the Debate Competition and Quarter Finalist of Soegijapranata Workshop and Debate (SWORD) Competition.

In this initial selection (desk evaluation), the elements assessed are administrative requirements, English scientific papers, achievement data and English language skills. The final round of National Diploma Program Achievement Student Selection which will take place 9 – 12 July in Solo.
