Semarang State Polytechnic (Polines) participated in displaying scientific products in the form of appropriate technology in the exhibition at Indonesia Science Day (ISD) 2018 which was held at the PP-IPTEK Building (Science and Technology Demonstration Center), TMII Complex (Taman Mini Indonesia Indah) , Jakarta, on April 20–22 2018. The activity was attended by 15 universities and 26 institutions, both public and private.
At the Polines booth, superior products in the field of appropriate technology are the results of research and innovation from lecturers who have passed trials and in-depth research. The props displayed include, among others, Friction Welding Machines as Laboratory Facilities for Vocational Schools, MPS (Modular Production System) and CNC Batik Stamp Printing.
Meanwhile, ISD 2018 was opened directly by the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education Prof. Drs. H. Muhammad Nasir, M.Si, Akt, Ph.D. In his speech, he stated that with the 2018 ISD, the younger generation or the general public could understand more closely about science, research, and technology. Especially as an effort to prepare for the industrial revolution 4.0.
“With ISD in PP-IPTEK, we can introduce. Too Science Park This is a vehicle for learning science. So that the competence of the younger generation is getting better,” added Prof. Nasir.
