The Balsa Sipondra team (Civil Polines Duta Champion) consisting of students from the Civil Engineering Department of the Semarang State Polytechnic (Polines) succeeded in making the alma mater proud by winning 1st place in the Bridge Construction Competition in the Civil Engineering competition. Engineering Festival (CIVFEST) 2018 at the Jakarta State Polytechnic (PNJ) campus, Depok, West Java, (14/3).
The team consisting of Mariono (PG-2A), Muhammad Nur Rohman (KS-2A), Bagas Ardian Putra (KG-2B) and Triwardaya, ST, MT as supervising lecturers were able to achieve the highest in the annual event which was attended by various universities in Indonesia. . "We are grateful to be able to maintain the tradition of winning," said Mariono (Sipondra team). Last year the Polines team also won this event. Meanwhile, Triwardaya, ST, MT as the supervising lecturers said they were satisfied with this achievement. "Hopefully it can add motivation for the years to come," he said. The winners in this event were the first place (Polines), second place (UGM) and third place (Undip).
CIVFEST 2018 PNJ which is an annual event for the Department of Civil Engineering at the Jakarta State Polytechnic. CIVFEST 2018 aims to accommodate the ideas of Indonesian Young Civilians for a better infrastructure for the future. Carrying the theme “MENTAWAI (Exploring Talents to Realize Innovative Aspirations)” is the theme of CIVFEST 2018. The goal is to hone skills to hone creativity, innovation, and be able to answer future challenges in the field of Civil Engineering through a series of competitions (National Concrete Competition, Bridge Construction Competition, Competition Building mockups and K3L Design Competition), Seminar events, and Ultramen (Helps of Hands) which are Social Service activities.
