According to Supriyadi, the SPA route has been closed. However, prospective students still have the opportunity to enter through other routes. Polines accepts new students for the 2018/2019 academic year through three channels, namely the invitation route, namely SPA and the State Polytechnic Interest and Ability Search (PMDKPN). The PMDKPN route, which is followed by 43 state polytechnics throughout Indonesia, is still open for registration on line until April 14 next. Another route that has now been opened is the PT PLN (Persero) cooperation class. In addition, Polines opens a written test route, namely the State Polytechnic Entrance Exam (UMPN), Independent Examination, Advanced Path for applied undergraduate and applied master postgraduate registration. All information can be seen on the www.polines.ac.id page.

Furthermore, according to the Director of Polines, the reason for high school/vocational/MA equivalent graduates to study at Polines is that Polines is a vocational PTN that produces graduates who are skilled, expert and ready to work in the business and technology industries. Also the study period at Polines is relatively shorter, namely three years for the Diploma program and four years for the Applied Bachelor program. As well as considering the ease of finding a job because the curriculum at Polines is designed to integrate knowledge, skills and field experience so that practical material is relatively balanced with theory.
