The theme of the keynote speaker presented by the 2016 Ristekdiskti Outstanding Lecturer Finalist was Green Technology Innovation in Sustainable Development.
In his presentation Dr. Mukhlisin said that: The current green technology innovation is very important for the city's transition to an eco-city. One of the green technologies that need to be considered is green building. The high level of use of natural resources coupled, the increasing consumption of non-renewable resources especially in the construction industry has caused environmental damage. In addition, with the development of social development, today's society has high living requirements, especially in urban areas. With this, the need for sustainable development becomes more significant. Therefore we need a system that can be used to assess green building-based development. This has attracted a lot of attention in recent years. Much research has been done on the development of new assessment methods and improvement of existing ones through comparative analysis. He also discussed the purpose and types of green technology and how to evaluate green buildings.
At the end of his lecture he emphasized the need for awareness of construction business players to increase so that green building-based development can be carried out properly so that energy savings, carbon gas reduction, water use savings can be applied so that existing efficiencies can be applied and sustainable development can run well.
