Successful implementation of The 6th IEEE International Conference on IEEE Communication, Networks and Satellite (COMNETSAT) 2017
can not be separated from the gait and participation of students from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Semarang State Polytechnic (Polines), especially from the Applied Telecommunication Engineering Undergraduate Study Program. Dozens of final year students who graduated in September 2017 (and are currently alumni) are also involved in helping organize the conference as the executive committee (organizing committee). Student involvement is in the areas of secretariat, events (conferences and gala dinners), as well as publications and documentation.
In the secretarial field, students help with printing and copying program book, print a certificate for presenter, and prepare other secretarial needs. Students who are part of the secretarial team are Pramudhito Herlambang, Arisa Olivia Putri, Enno Apriliawan Pratama, Esti Purbawati.
In the field of events, students help organize rundown events (conferences and gala dinners), hosting events (in English), handling participant re-registration, providing entertainment (traditional dances and music), as well as preparing and operating all materials and visualizations required during the event. The students involved as the event team were M. Imaduddin and Hany Windri Astuti (the presenters); Yuvita Dian Safitri (moderator of one of the parallel session); Arya Dentha and Wimar Fawazi (visualization operators); Marsha Gresia Mahaidayu and Tasa Sekar Faragita (re-registration of participants); and Harry Mahendra, Stefanus Connect Cahyo B. and Lorenza Louis Natalia O. Haurissa (music entertainer).
In the field of publications and documentation, students help prepare background decorations for the stage (backdrop), become the official photographer of the event. Students who help in this field are Syrico Arindamo Setyawan and Magfur Ramdhani.
Moreover, a number of 8 new alumni also appeared as presenters who presented papers that had previously passed the selection. The selection of papers is carried out using the method blind review by team Technical Program Committee (TPC) with 260 members reviewer from 43 countries. The paper presented was the result of the final research when he was a student of the Applied Bachelor of Telecommunication Engineering study program at Polines.
