On the third day, participants of the IEEE International Conference on Communication, Networks and Satellite (COMNETSAT) 2017
visited Borobudur Temple, Saturday 7 October 2017. Haitham Mahmoud, one of the participants from Egypt, was grateful to be able to visit tourist areas in the cities of Semarang and Central Java on the sidelines of this conference. Janette Salvatus from the Philippines really admires the splendor of Borobudur Temple. Meanwhile, Arnaldo Spalvier (Italy) thanked the COMNETSAT 2017 committee for serving the participants very well since their arrival in Semarang to bringing them back to Ahmad Yani International Airport Semarang.
In addition to visiting Borobudur Temple, in the afternoon until the night before, some participants did city tour to several tourist destinations in the city of Semarang. Participants included visiting the Lawang Sewu building, Sam Poo Kong Temple, Kampung Pelangi, enjoying culinary tours in the Semawis area, walking the streets in the old city area, to enjoying the evening by relaxing cycling at Simpang Lima. Participants were very happy and satisfied to be able to enjoy city tours and culinary tours of Semarang.
One of the keynote speakers, Prof. Mahamod Ismail (Malaysia) also took the time to visit several shops in the city of Semarang to buy books. In addition, Prof. Ismail also visited the Baiturrahman Simpang Lima Mosque and shopped at the very famous Pandanaran street area and enjoyed evening culinary delights in a relaxed atmosphere.
