Development of an Environmentally Friendly Batik Village in Semarang City

polySemarang State Engineering (Polines) in collaboration with PT PLN (Persero) PPE in Central Java and DIY recently mehost

batik coloring training in Central Batik Village Ward Rejomulyo Semarang.  This training is carried out in order to Community Development Program  as a form of CSR  from PT PLN (Persero). The event which was opened by Mr. Moses Allo (Manager of APD Central Java DIY PT PLN Persero) lasted for one day with material on developing the quality of modern and classic batik production and the practice of batik coloring with painting techniques.

The participants of this activity are residents Central Batik Village which is a community of Djadoel batik village and residents who love batik. The training, which was attended by 20 people, featured ptalk/trainer Bayu Arya who is a batik entrepreneur starting in 2007 under the name Hotwax Studio Yogyakarta and at the same time lecturer ISI Yogyakarta. For the success of this training, participants have been provided with batik coloring equipment including cloth, batik colors, brushes and other materials for color locking. With this training, it is hoped that participants will not only know production techniques that can produce quality products and have a high artistic style at the same time  given an overview of market information as a specific target market targeted by the provision of high-quality handmade batik.  This activity is also an effort to increase the branding of Batik Djadoel's village in Semarang City through efforts to paint the village, make mural paintings on village walls, repair and improve the beauty of village roads, manufacture village signs, provide tents for batik training and so on.  Thus, in the future, Kampung Batik Semarang will be increasingly known to the wider community.
