SEMARANG – In order to commemorate the 42nd Dies Natalis, Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Polines) carried out social service activities as a form of concern for the surrounding community. This activity was carried out by visiting two orphanages, namely the Baitul Agrari Petompon Orphanage and the Al Yasiroh Gunungpati Orphanage, Friday (13/12/2024).
The Director of Polines through the social service team handed over assistance in the form of basic necessities and cash to the two orphanages. This assistance is expected to ease the operational burden of the orphanages while also providing happiness to the foster children.
"This activity is a real manifestation of Polines' commitment to continue contributing in helping others, especially on the special moment of the 42nd Dies Natalis. Hopefully this assistance will bring benefits and blessings," said Septian, a representative of the social service team.
The orphanage also expressed its gratitude and thanks for the attention given by Polines.
"We are very grateful to Polines for the assistance provided. This assistance means a lot to our foster children, especially to meet their daily needs. Hopefully Polines will continue to progress and continue to be an inspiration in sharing kindness," said one of the administrators of the Baitul Agrari Petompon Orphanage, Ustadz Saeful.
Joy also radiated from the faces of the orphanage children. One of them was Ari, a child who is currently in grade 4 of elementary school. With enthusiasm, Ari expressed his happiness.
"I am very happy to receive this assistance. Thank you Polines for coming here, may Polines always be successful," said Ari with a cheerful smile.
Through activities like this, Polines hopes to instill values of care and empathy to all academicians and the surrounding community. The 42nd Dies Natalis is a momentum to continue to strengthen synergy and collaboration in building a better future. (ang/jul)
