Polines Holds Polines Entrepreneur Award and Entrepreneurship Exhibition

Semarang: Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Polines) held the 2024 Polines Entrepreneur Award and a young entrepreneur exhibition at the Integrated Lecture Building, Tuesday (3/12/2024). This activity is to give awards to young people, especially students who are interested and already entrepreneurs.

Deputy Director for Student Affairs and Alumni Aris Sunindyo, SE, MM, said that Polines has become a campus worthy of young entrepreneurs from the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports. According to him, this activity is part of Polines' commitment to developing an entrepreneurial spirit among students.

"We believe that with the right guidance and support, our students are able to become innovative and creative entrepreneurs. As well as contribute significantly to the national economy and have strong characters," he said.

Through this activity, Aris said, it is hoped that there will be more synergy between the academic world, business and government. "The university must be able to work, continue studying and entrepreneurship and what is being strengthened now is entrepreneurship," he explained.

The head of the Polines Entrepreneur Award program, Misbakhul Arrezqi, said that the applicants for the Young Entrepreneur Category were 35 students. Meanwhile, the applicants for the Business Plan category were 123 student teams from various universities in Indonesia.

"Today is a combination of the Merdeka Entrepreneurship event with PMW (Student Entrepreneurship Program) Polines. The exhibition has 107 booths, Merdeka Entrepreneurship is from 16 universities so there are around 400 to 500 students participating in the exhibition," he said.

According to him, through this activity, a young entrepreneur ecosystem will be created that collaborates with universities, the business world and the government. "Thus creating a collaborative young entrepreneur ecosystem," he concluded.
