SEMARANG – Accounting Department students of the D3 Finance and Banking Program of Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Polines) showed high enthusiasm in attending a guest lecture held at the Integrated Lecture Building (GKT), Polines Campus, Tembalang, Semarang City, Wednesday (10/23/24). This activity raised the theme "Carefully and Wisely Utilizing Digital Banks".
The event was officially opened by Dr. Samuel Beta Kuntarjo, Ing.Tech., MT, Deputy Director of Academic Affairs of Polines, accompanied by Siti Arbainah, SE, MM, Head of the Accounting Department. The guest lecture presented two speakers, namely Meiti Sulistika, Specialist in the Deposit Insurance Agency Research Group, and Dede Suryanto, S.Sos., M.Si, General Chairperson of the Indonesian Finance and Banking Diploma Program Association.
In his remarks, the Deputy Director of Academic Affairs at Polines conveyed the importance of a deep understanding of digital technology in the banking sector.
"Digital banking is not just about convenience, but also about how we can use it wisely," he said.
In her presentation, Meiti Sulistika emphasized the importance of proper understanding of security and ease in utilizing digital banking. Meanwhile, Dede Suryanto, S.Sos., M.Si invited students to be wiser in using digital banking services so that they can provide maximum benefits in everyday life.
The event received a positive response from students who were seen actively asking questions and discussing the challenges and opportunities in the current digital banking era. Through this activity, it is hoped that students can be better prepared to face technological changes in the world of finance and banking.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Polines Accounting Department said that this guest lecture activity is part of the department's efforts to improve students' insight and skills in facing developments in the financial world, especially in the increasingly advanced digital era. ang
