Semarang (ANTARA) – Perum LKBN ANTARA Central Java Bureau in collaboration with the Politeknik Negeri Semarang Forum for Environmental Lovers (Wapalhi) invites orphans, students and the general public to break the fast together.
The activity entitled "Ngabuburit with Perum LKBN ANTARA Bureau of Central Java and Wapalhi" which was open to the public took place at the Integrated Lecture Building, Polines Semarang, Thursday.
Head of Perum LKBN ANTARA Central Java Bureau, Teguh Imam Wibowo, said that breaking the fast together was an annual routine activity every month of Ramadhan to share with others.
"For this activity with Polines friends, this is the first time. In the future, we will hold events similar to this on a wider scale. "I appreciate the cooperation so that this activity went well," he said.
Teguh also briefly told the history of the ANTARA News Agency, including its role in fighting for the independence of the Republic of Indonesia and disseminating information to the public.
Nur Istibsaroh as chairman of the activities committee explained that "ngabuburit" was an effort to introduce ANTARA, as well as enliven and seek blessings in the month of Ramadan with dozens of orphaned children.
"On this occasion, compensation was also distributed in the form of basic food packages, cash and stationery for orphaned children," said Istib, the nickname of the Assistant Commercial Manager for ANTARA Central Java Bureau.
He expressed his gratitude to the relevant stakeholders who had provided sponsorship and support for the success of this activity, including the Financial Services Authority (OJK), Bank Jateng, Wapalhi Polines, Alfamart and Semen Gresik.
On that occasion, Analyst, Deputy Director for Supervision of Financial Services Business Actors, Education and Consumer Protection at OJK, Tangguh Wicaksono, was present to deliver an introduction to OJK and education regarding "online" loans and investment.
“You must be able to differentiate between legal and illegal loans (online loans) regulated by the OJK. The public can check via number 081-157-157-157. "Type the company name into WA at that number," he said.
Alfamart Corporate Communication Eko Mujianto also expressed his gratitude for the good collaboration with ANTARA Bureau of Central Java so that the joint fast breaking activity was successful.
"Hopefully this assistance in the form of gifts will be useful to ease their burden, especially orphans and the poor," he said.
In the final session, Ustaz M Nur Salafuddin AH delivered a sermon on the theme "Overcoming 'Overthinking' When Life is Tired".
He explained that there are groups of people who welcome Ramadan as a garden of paradise, but there are those who actually feel its arrival as a burden.
"Those who feel that Ramadan is a garden of paradise will definitely welcome it with joy and do everything with pleasure, for example delicious tarawih prayers, delicious tadarus, and so on," he said.
