Kompak Polines Study Program Achieves International Accreditation

Computerized Accounting Study Program (Compact) Undergraduate Applied Accounting, Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Polines) managed to get international accreditation.

The accreditation was given by HEEACT (Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council of Taiwan) which is an independent international accreditation institution originating from Taiwan.

Polines Director, Prof. Dr. Totok Prasetyo, B.Eng (Hons), MT, IPU, ASEAN.Eng, ACPE said he was happy and proud that the Compact Study Program could get international accreditation. "This study program previously received A accreditation nationally, so we submitted it for international accreditation," he explained in the Director's office, Polines Campus, Tembalang, Semarang, Friday (27/1).

He added, the achievement of international accreditation is also the implementation of the eight Key Performance Indicators (IKU) issued by the Ministry of Education and Culture, so that more and more study programs are accredited, the Ministry of Education and Culture will provide additional awards and funds to State Universities (PTN) as an IKU excellence bonus. This achievement will also increase the accreditation of Polines institutions," said Prof. full-blooded

The Director also hopes that in the future the study programs at Polines, which total 27 study programs, can get increased accreditation both nationally and internationally.

This accreditation is a must for both institutional accreditation and study program accreditation. This is a prerequisite for other institutions, both external and partners, to accept Polines graduates," he added.

As additional information, the Higher Education Evaluation & Accreditation Council of Taiwan (HEEACT) was established in 2005 and began to conduct assessments of educational institutions and higher education institutions in Taiwan in 2006. Officially in 2007, it began to be given responsibility for conducting ranking research projects, both national and international. as well as globally.

Obtaining this international accreditation is a commitment and in line with Polines' vision as a world-class Indonesian university that carries out the process of providing education with international standards and quality.

With HEEACT accreditation in the Applied Undergraduate Compact study program, it shows the maturity of the study program in providing education in various aspects of the student journey; starting from lectures, enrichment even to become alumni.
