Dina Yeni Martia, S.ST., M.Sc., lecturer in the Financial Analyst study program, majoring in Accounting, Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Polines) successfully passed the non-degree scholarship program from the Directorate of Institutions and Resources (KLSD) Vocational Higher Education, Directorate General of Vocational Education Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology in collaboration with LPDP.
He feels proud as one of 36 lecturers at vocational tertiary institutions throughout Indonesia to take part in the Vocational Faculty Instructional Innovation Program pedagogy training at Arizona State University, Phoenix, Arizona, United States of America for 3 weeks from November 25 – December 17 2022. “I am grateful to be able to follow this training, “said Dina.
This training is part of the "Vocational Education Provider Higher Education Strengthening Program (PTPPV) through competency certification and certified apprenticeships for lecturers to accelerate the realization of superior and globally competitive vocational higher education" overseas schemes.
He explained, the training materials consisted of Introduction to New Instructional Methods for Teaching and Instructional Innovation, Integrating Applied Project Experiences across the Curriculum, and 21st Century Professional Skills Teaching Pedagogy.
Participants also took part in the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt competency certification which was held in the second week of the training.
In addition to classical training activities in class, participants also get the opportunity to tour the campus, try new experiences using virtual reality in dreamscapes, visit the base learning application lab at Arizona State University, and also make an industrial visit at Freeport McMoran Miami Arizona.
