The Pati Student Community (KOMPI) together with the Pati Regency Environmental Service and Kertomulyo Village Officials carried out an action to plant 1000 mangrove trees on the coast of Kertomulyo Beach, Kertomulyo Village, Trangkil District, Pati Regency (20/11). This activity is part of KOMPI's efforts to contribute to preserving the environment on one of the coasts of the island of Java.

Mangrove planting carries the theme “Caring for the Rimba Lestari Nusa, Synergizing in a Pandemic”. In the activity, which was centered in Kertomulyo Village, the participants also gained new insights about the benefits of mangrove plants for natural preservation in coastal areas.

The activity that lasts for a day, it is hoped that each individual must be able to protect the environment without destroying it so that the environment will eventually return to provide benefits for all of us, because mangrove forests can attract tourists both domestic and foreign who come to find out as much as possible about the benefits of mangrove forests. .

Just a note, if the planting of mangroves on the coast is expected to prevent sea abrasion and function as a green belt in reviving productive forest lands. In addition, the growth of marine product cultivation can also be beneficial to improve the economy of the surrounding community. Mangrove forests can also function as a place of protection for local endemic fauna.
