Semarang State Polytechnic (Polines) as a vocational college continues to try to answer problems and solutions to community needs for appropriate technology. One of them is an activity carried out by the Polines Community Service Team in Sidomulyo Village, Adimulyo District, Kebumen Regency, Central Java, recently.
The team consisting of Syahid ST, M. Eng, Dr. Eng Sidiq Syamsul Hidayat and Drs. Fatchun Hasyim M.Si held a community service activity for the Community Partnership Program funded by Research and Technology and Higher Education.
This Community Service focuses on helping to provide solutions to the Association of farmer groups (Gapoktan) in the village in the problem of drying grain. "We help people who need grain dryer technology," said Syahid, ST, MT.
The service team provided assistance with a rice dryer that could work 24 hours with a source of electrical energy and gas heating. The team also provided training on the installation and operation of the dryer to Gapoktan members so that they could independently use and operate the dryer. With this dryer, of course, it is hoped that it will have an economic impact in the form of drying time, drying area and drying costs.
"The focus and target of this Community Partnership Program community service activity is the Farmers Group Association (Gapoktan) in the application and implementation of grain dryer technology," said Syahid, Head of the Community Service Team. .
