The Siti Khadijah Taklim Council of the Semarang State Polytechnic (Polines) held a Covid-19 Care activity on Sunday-Monday, April 5-6 2020. The purpose of this activity was to provide assistance to residents of the community around the Polines campus whose economic conditions were directly affected by the widespread outbreak of the epidemic. Chairperson of the Taklim Council Siti Khadijah Polines Siti Arbainah SE MM explained that the target of this activity was families around the Tembalang Polines campus whose economic conditions were directly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. For example, traders whose trading wheels have stopped, small employees who have lost their jobs, taxi and motorcycle taxi drivers who have experienced low orders, as well as orphanages and poor people in the Tembalang area of Semarang. "This assistance is in the form of 65 packages containing basic food ingredients, hand sanitizer and hand soap, which we distribute to online motorcycle taxi drivers and residents who have lost their jobs. In addition, we also provide four special packages to orphanages and orphans in need,” said Siti Arbainah.

"The distribution of the packages was also assisted by the younger generation of the Daarul Hikmah Mosque (Gema MDH) Polines Mosque in distributing aid to community members around the campus," Siti Arbainah added. "We also channeled some of the funds entrusted by benefactors to support medical needs, through the Diponegoro University IKA Medica account," concluded Siti Arbainah.
The donation for this activity came from a member of the Taklim Council, Siti Khadijah. In addition, the Taklim Council also received donations from Muslim philanthropists at the Semarang State Polytechnic.
