The Accounting Department Makrab (MAJU AKU) 2019 is an event organized by the Semarang State Polytechnic Accounting Student Association (Polines) with the theme "Instill Togetherness, Fertilize Unity, Strengthen Brotherhood". The MAJU AKU 2019 activity is also the implementation of the third Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely community service with the aim that students are able to understand and explore the existence of social, economic, academic and cultural strata.
The 2019 Accounting Department (MAJU AKU) Makrab activity started from the formation of a committee that was tasked with job desk which have been specified. This was followed by a discussion between the committee and a plenary meeting to strengthen the activity plan. The activity took place 11 October – 13 October 2019 at Kolat Rindam IV Diponegoro, Bantir, Bandungan which was attended by 540 new students majoring in Accounting for the 2019/2020 academic year.
This event was held in order to foster a strong spirit of togetherness and brotherhood between the new students of the Accounting Department and the Accounting HMJ Functionaries. This activity is filled with various events such as hospitality, reciting together, evening reflections, bonfires, art performances, outbound and color party. The MAJU AKU 2019 activity also has an event share together with lecturers who are guardians of lecturers from each class or who represent and alumni of the Accounting Department with the aim that new students are more familiar with the Accounting Department. There are also social service activities which are the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education with the aim of growing a high social spirit and a sense of caring for others.
