In order to improve the development and quality of human resources in Indonesian universities, the Directorate General of Science and Technology Resources and Higher Education Kemristekdikti has again opened the World Class Professor (WCP) program, which is a program that invites world-class professors, both from within and outside the country to become visiting professor at various Indonesian universities. This WCP program will be a means for Indonesian researchers to collaborate in research and publications with world-class professors.
According to the person in charge of the WCP Polines program, Dr. Kurnianingsih, this year the Semarang State Polytechnic (Polines) is the only polytechnic educational institution that has passed the selection to hold the WCP program. "We are the only polytechnic that passed the selection," he said. In the WCP program which took place 8 – July 2019, Polines invited Prof. Anton Satria Prabuwono, a professor at the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology at King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia who is also an expert in the field of Machine Vision, Intelligent Robotics and Autonomous Systems, to become a visiting professor.
In this series of WCPs, Thursday (11/7) in the Director's Meeting Room, Polines campus, Tembalang, Semarang, a Seminar on Research Methodology and International Publications was held. The event was attended by lecturers from various study programs at Polines. Meanwhile, the speakers presented were Prof. Anton Satria Prabuwono (King Abdulaziz University), Dr. Amin Suharjono, Dr. Yusuf Dewantoro Herlambang (Polines).
