The Polytechnic English Conversation Club (PECC) as a Student Activity Unit (UKM) at the Semarang State Polytechnic (Polines) which oversees extracurricular students who have an interest in the English language continues to show their existence.
This is indicated by the various activities carried out by PECC. One of the activities that just took place was the HECTION 6.0 event. Is an abbreviation of High School English Competition, is an English competition activity aimed at high school/vocational high school students throughout Central Java and Yogyakarta.
2019 is the 6th year HECTION is being held, therefore the name of this event is HECTION 6.0. This competition lasted for 2 days (9-10/3) in the Multipurpose Room (RSG) Polines campus, Tembalang. The event was officially opened by Adhy Purnomo, ST, MT (Vice Director for Student Affairs Polines). In his speech he said that this competition event could be a medium to measure the level of students' ability in English. "This competition held by Hection can be a competition room for students in English language skills," he said.
This activity was attended by 35 schools from Central Java and Yogyakarta. There are 4 branches of the competition, namely: Debate, Story Telling, News Casting, Speech.
After each branch of the race completes all roundthen it will be done Closing Ceremony at RSG Polines and the announcement of the winners of each branch of the competition. The following is a list of winners from each competition branch.
Debate Competition:
The 1st place was won by the SMA 3 Surakarta team
Second place was won by SMA 1 Pekalongan
The third place was won by SMA YSKI.
Newscasting Competition:
The first place was won by Seviana Erwina Putri from SMA Islam Al Azhar 15 Semarang
Second place was won by Azarine Calya from SMAN 3 Semarang
The third place was won by Mayli Cindy Ihdal Muhannah from MAN 2 Kudus
Story Telling Competition:
First place was won by Ninda Ayu Lestari from SMKN 1 Kendal
Second place was won by Marcellinus Dedo Adveni Dewata from Satya Wacana Christian Vocational School
Third place was won by Raka Avia Pratama Hidayaghza from Al Azhar 15 Islamic High School Semarang
Speech Competition:
The first place was won by Rida Aulia Rahmah from MAN 2 Kudus
2nd place was won by Felicia Nadya Isabel from Homeschooling Primagama Yogyakarta
Third place was won by Frederico Alehando RM from SMK Wisudha Karya
