International cooperation programs continue to be established by the Semarang State Polytechnic (Polines). This time the collaboration was carried out with 2 (two) universities in Thailand. Namely the Faculty of Engineering, King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) and Thai Business Administration Technological College (TBC) Thailand.
The Polines delegation consisted of Saniman Widodo SE, MM (Vice Director for General Affairs and Finance) and Dr. Ir. Muhammad Mukhlisin, MT (Head of International Affairs Unit) made a direct visit to 2 (two) campuses in Thailand, recently.
The pilot collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering, took place at the KMUTT campus, which was carried out by Prof. Chai Jaturapitakkul PhD. (Dean of the Faculty of Engineering) accompanied by Mr. Chawin Chantharasenawong, PhD (Vice Dean for International Cooperation, Faculty of Engineering). The initiated collaboration covers many fields, including exchange of lecturers/researchers, participation in international workshops and conferences as well as facilitation in the field of student mobility such as transfer credits and student visits.
Meanwhile, the meeting with the Thai Business Administration Technological College (TBC), Thailand, which was attended by Ms. Puttachard Suphalucksana as Director of Education Promotion Thai-Tech Group. The event was also attended by the head of the department and local campus lecturers. The results of the meeting include plans for cooperation that will be carried out next year. Namely, student exchanges include summer camp, internship, credit transfer and lecturer exchange. This MoU between Polines and TBC is a form of cooperation development where previously TBC and Polines had carried out student internship exchange activities which took place in August – October 2018.
Deputy Director for General Affairs and Finance of Polines, Saniman Widodo SE, MM, said that this collaboration will increase mobility inbound nor outbound students and lecturers at Polines. "This cooperation will increase international cooperation," he said.
While Dr. Ir. Muhammad Mukhlisin, MT (Head of the International Affairs Unit of Polines) said that in the future the form of cooperation will not only focus on student internship exchanges, but will also include other forms of cooperation such as exchange of lecturers and staff, as well as transfer credit programs, as well as joining summer camps.
