TTG assistance from the DPTM Polines Team for Magelang Processed Food SMEs

The Implementing Team for Dissemination of Technology Products to the Community (DPTM) Semarang State Polytechnic (Polines) Fiscal Year 2018 chaired by Dr. Samuel BETA KK; Ing-Tech., MT with members Drs. Paryono, SST, MT and Sarana, SE, M.Sc.

provided appropriate technology assistance to the Sido Mulyo Joint Business Group (KUB) and Mustam Small and Medium Industry (IKM) in Magelang Regency, recently.

The DPTM program is a community service scheme that is managed and developed by the Directorate of Research and Community Development, Directorate of Research and Development Strengthening, Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education. The purpose of the activity is to improve the welfare of the community through increasing productivity, added value, quality, and competitiveness of science and technology-based products from the Semarang State Polytechnic.

Partners fostered by the Semarang State Polytechnic in Magelang Regency, KUB Sido Mulyo produces Assorted Snacks made of glutinous rice, cassava and IKM Mustam produces Assorted Cripings from kimpul, cassava, banana, and others.

The activity leader, Dr. Samuel BETA in his speech said that the technology product dissemination program to the public was given to the community of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the field of processed food products from agricultural products in Magelang. It is believed that through the downstream touch of technological products from the Semarang State Polytechnic, it will increase the productivity, quality, and distribution of food products produced by them. In the end, there will be an increase in welfare for the related business actors.
