The construction industry is one of the industries that has a high risk. Recently, the government's efforts to boost infrastructure development have been tarnished by a number of construction accidents. So it is important to prepare human resources who master the field of occupational safety and health in construction in Indonesia.
Taking this into account, the Semarang State Polytechnic (Polines) and the Association of Indonesian Construction Occupational Safety and Health Experts (A2K4-Indonesia) in the Central Java region agreed to cooperate. This collaboration is in the fields of education, research, training and certification of occupational safety and health experts in the construction sector.
The signing of the cooperation was carried out by Ir. Supriyadi, MT (Director of Polines) and Ferry Hermawan, ST, MT, PhD (Chairman of A2K4-Indonesia) Central Java Region at Polines campus, Tembalang, Semarang, Monday (9/7).
In his speech Ir. Supriyadi, MT (Director of Polines) said that this collaboration is very strategic in order to answer the needs of HR Experts for Occupational Safety and Health in Construction in Indonesia. "So we can synergize with the pace of infrastructure development that is being carried out by the current government," said Supriyadi.
One of the implementations of this collaboration is the implementation of short training and certification in the field of construction work safety and health for the general public.
