Polines Team Wins Many Achievements at the 2018 NPEO Event

Polines debaters, Syukron Alhakim and Alif Gusti Kurniawan, managed to win the second place trophy in National Polytechnic English Olympics (NPEO) 2018 which was attended by 54 public and private polytechnics throughout Indonesia on April 15 to 20, 2018 at the Indonesian Postal Polytechnic (Poltekpos) Bandung.

In addition to the English debate, this prestigious national level event which is held every year also competes newscasting, storytelling and public speaking.

The tireless training of all members of the Polines Team consisting of eight students finally paid off. They all had the opportunity to be called up on stage to receive the award at the culmination of the announcement of the winners. Seven participants managed to advance to the final round. Fatkhur Rozaq received an award as the second Hope Champion and Apriliando Eka Bayu Putra received the position as the third Hope Champion in public speaking which was attended by 62 participants. The grandsons of Kharisma Agil Munawar and Adelia Erlita Putri managed to occupy the top ten in the competition News Casting; Dyah Pramesti Nur Azizah is also a finalist and Arindra Martha Sasmita received an award as Novice Story telling. Their success cannot be separated from the support of various parties, including the trainers, management, education staff, and parents of the participants.

For this achievement, Deputy Director for Student Affairs Adhy Purnomo, ST, MT said he was proud of this student's achievement. "Congratulations and hopefully it will improve more in the coming year," he messaged.

Meanwhile, Dr. Nur Rini, M.Pd. (PIC) and Drs. M. Muslikh, M.Pd. (PECC Trustees) expressed their pride in the achievements of all members of the Polines delegation. Even so, the participants were not satisfied with their achievements and they hoped that next year they could do more to carve the name of Polines at the upcoming 2019 NPEO in Bali.
