The Verification Process for Academic Potential Selection Path Registrants Has Been Completed

The New Student Admissions Selection Committee (SPMB) of the Semarang State Polytechnic (Polines) has completed the process of verifying the data of applicants for the Academic Potential Selection (SPA) pathway on Monday (26/2). Until the closing of registration last week, the number of applicants for the 2018 SPA pathway reached 3,780 people, an increase of 13.6% compared to the number of registrants in the previous year.

In addition, there were 146 registrants who had finalized but did not pay the registration fee so they could not continue the next series of registration processes. This was explained by the Head of Registration, Nugroho Joko Usito, SKom MKom, in the SPMB information room of the Cooperation Building, 2nd floor of the Polines campus. Joko said that the number of registrants who finalized in the three days leading up to the closing had increased sharply, resulting in a fairly dense queue for access to the PMB Polines information system. “For those who want to study at Polines but haven't had time to register in the SPA route, there are still other routes that are being and will be opened. These are the PMDK-PN line, the Polines Cooperation route with PT PLN, the UMPN line, and the UM line," said Joko. "In all channels, registration is done online through the PMB Polines page https://pmb.polines.ac.id," he added.

In the same place, the Coordinator of the Verification and Registration Service Section, Ari Mursandhi SKom, said that from the results of the verification until Monday (26/2) this evening, there were 17 registrants who still had Unqualified Status (BMS) at the data verification stage. "The reasons are, among others, because the school certificate does not include the name of the study program at the SMA/MA/SMK level, there are differences in the data entered into the system and the data listed in the certificate, also because the uploaded documents are not legible or even empty. In addition, there was one registrant who did not meet the requirements (TMS) because he came from an expertise program at the vocational level which was not in accordance with the choice of study programs at the Polynes," he explained.

Head of SPMB Polines Dadi ST MEng added that currently the committee is confirming prospective registrants who are still BMS status in order to correct the supporting data for registration until Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 23.59 WIB. "The hope is that the actual registrants don't have problems, they don't get hampered at the data verification stage and they can print the test participant cards starting March 2, 2018," he said. If the required documents are not corrected by the time limit, the registrant is declared Unqualified (TMS) and does not pass the verification stage. Applicants who do not pass the verification stage cannot take the written test on March 4, 2018.

"As for applicants who come from study programs at Vocational Schools that are not in accordance with the study programs at Polines, then the registrants have been declared TMS and did not pass verification. For example, graduates from the Culinary Administration study program cannot continue to Polines because at the Polines there is no Catering Study program as a continuation of their studies, "he concluded. Registrant data with BMS and TMS status has been announced in https://pmb.polines.ac.id/pengumuman.

The written test was held at the Polines campus on Jl Prof. H. Soedarto SH Tembalang Sunday, March 4, 2018 in two sessions, namely the morning session at 8.00 to 11.00 WIB for applicants in the Engineering (Engineering) field and the afternoon session at 12.30 to 15.30 WIB for applicants in the Commerce field.
