Another proud achievement was made by Semarang State Polytechnic (Polines) students. Ika Veronica Anggraeni, a student of the Marketing Management study program, Polines Business Administration Department, won a gold medal in the category Senior Female-Group Class in the 9th International Self Shield Silat Championship which was held at the Brawijaya University campus, Malang, East Java last weekend.
The results achieved by athletes from Polines are very encouraging. Considering that this championship was attended by 436 fighters from four countries, namely, Indonesia, Australia, Timor Leste and Japan. "I am grateful for this achievement," said Ika proudly. This result, he said, is the fruit of the training he continues to do under the direction of the coach. "I am also grateful for all the support from the Polines campus, so that the results of this championship get optimal results," said Ika.
The Deputy Director for Student Affairs at Polines, Rustono, SE, MM said he was proud of the achievements of his students. "We will always provide optimal support for students to show their achievements in all fields," explained Rustono in his office. In the future, he continued, these young talents can share this winning achievement with their younger classmates. "So the tradition of winning continues," he concluded.
